Four years after Monument Valley 2, which has a special place among popular mobile games, reached iOS and Android, Ustwo Games announced that it has added a new chapter to the game. The developer has released a special episode called The Lost Forest to support the Play4Forests initiative, which promotes the preservation of trees.
Play4Forests is an initiative run by the United Nations climate and forest partnership and the Playing for the Planet Alliance. The aim is to emphasize “the importance of protecting and restoring forests” and they are working with leading names in the game world for this purpose.
There are four different scenes in this episode. In the new episode “The Lost Forest” we control the character’s passage through an unusually designed structure.

“Our forests, one of our best allies in tackling climate change, face increasing threats,” states the Play4Forests website, noting that “Your voice can help secure a better future for forests and people.”
Bringing extra content to a game like Monument Valley 2 after four years may seem unusual at first. But we know this has happened before. For example, Tiny Wings, the popular iOS game from ten years ago, was also updated with more levels in 2016. So it’s not surprising that there is such a long gap between the release of a mobile game and the fact that it gets more content.
Ustwo announced that it was working on Monument Valley 3 in 2019. However, there is no release date information yet.
