A seemingly official promotional image for the upcoming Galaxy S23 FE has been leaked online. The image shows the general design and the four color options that the next Fan Edition model will use. The image also includes the purple color we will remember from Samsung’s Galaxy S9 series.
The Galaxy S23 FE has flat panels and separate camera cutouts, and is again available in four color options: Violet/purple, graphite, white and lemon/mint green.
The official names of these colors are unclear, but regardless, the Galaxy S23 FE appears to have a glossy finish and metallic rings around the three rear-facing cameras that match the color of the back panel.
Although Samsung has yet to confirm pricing details for the Galaxy S23 FE, we expect the device to be more expensive than the Galaxy A54 and cheaper than the base Galaxy S23 model.
In essence, the Fan Edition model is supposed to be a cheaper alternative to the Galaxy S23. It is also expected to use a high-end chipset, namely an Exynos 2200 and/or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, and not from the current-gen series.
Other specifications may include a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 128 and 256GB storage options, a 4,500mAh battery, and a 50MP + 8MP (ultrawide) + 12MP (telephoto) camera combo.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S23 FE before the end of the year. However, in some markets, the device may be available in the first quarter of 2024. Alongside this leaked image, the Korean company mistakenly listed the Galaxy S23 FE on the Spanish Samsung Pay portal, confirming the name of the phone and its compatibility with the mobile payment platform.
