Diablo 4 will be released in 2023 and the development team seems to be keeping an eye on the criticism Diablo Immortal has faced. The game, which is playable on mobile and PC platforms, has a very low user review average on Metacritic, with most players citing microtransactions, which they interpret as excessive, as reasons to avoid the game.
So far, Diablo 4’s development team has been saying and showing the right things. The pre-alpha gameplay footage and strong presentation at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase were well received by the fan base.
