Exactly ten years after our introduction to Grand Theft Auto 5, an update by developer Rockstar has finally implemented something that seems simple but we’ve been waiting for 10 years: an alternative sprint control option. Players can now have a one-button swipe to sprint. In other words, you will no longer have to press the same button repeatedly as your character runs through the streets of Los Santos until you can’t feel your finger.
Also, a change was introduced for Mors Mutual Insurance reports. With the new update, instead of submitting a separate request for each destroyed vehicle, you can claim all destroyed vehicles at once. Finally, you have the ability to add custom description tags to your garages to make it easy to find your favorite vehicles quickly.
In a statement by Rockstar, “these features and many experience improvements inspired by direct feedback from the community, such as snacks that are easily accessible directly from the Gun Wheel and the ability to launch sales tasks in invite-only sessions, have been the main feature of GTA Online’s PS5 and Xbox Series X|S’s since launch. It also stands by the numerous improvements that have been made.” The statement continues: “In addition to ray-traced reflections and the Career Builder, which makes it easier than ever to rise through the ranks of crime, the update includes the touring Gun Truck, 50-car multi-storey garage, new License Plate Builder, Taxi Job, and more.”
