There are new developments regarding the Xiaomi 13 series, which was planned to be introduced on December 1, but was decided to be postponed a few days before the event. As it is known, the death of former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin lies behind the decision to postpone the new series. As such, the Chinese company postponed the smartphones to an unknown date. No new date has been given for the new models. However, it is possible to say that this situation has changed recently. Because the new date when the Xiaomi 13 series will be showcased has appeared in the Mi Store application.
When will the Xiaomi 13 series be introduced?
Many leaks and claims have been made about the Xiaomi 13 series to date. In this way, there are not many question marks in mind about how the smartphones will perform. Of course, after the postponement decision last week, one of the most curious subjects for the moment is the introduction date of the new series.
The new launch date of the Xiaomi 13 series has appeared on the Mi Store. According to screenshots circulating on Weibo, smartphones will appear on December 11, 2022. At the same event, products such as MIU 14, Xiaomi Watch S2, Xiaomi Buds 4 and Xiaomi Mini Host, which will be the company’s first desktop computer, will also be introduced.
According to past leaks, Xiaomi 13; The 6.36-inch FHD+ 120Hz E6 AMOLED and 13 Pro will feature a larger 6.73-inch E6 AMOLED panel with 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 1920Hz PWM dimming. In addition, a maximum brightness of 1,900 nits will be offered on both devices. Let’s also mention that the normal model will come with a flat screen and the Pro with a curved screen.
On the processor side, there will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which was showcased in the past weeks. The processor, which will be produced with 4 nm technology, uses 1 x 3.19 GHz ARM Cortex-X3, 2 x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A715, 2 x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A710 and 3 x 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores. Qualcomm includes the Adreno 740 graphics interface that supports Ray Tracing technology in its chipset.
The rear camera setup of Xiaomi 13 will have 50 Megapixel Sony IMX800 main, 12 Megapixel ultra wide angle and 10 Megapixel telephoto sensors. The 13 Pro will be equipped with 50 Megapixel Sony IMX989 main, 50 Megapixel Samsung JN1 ultra wide angle and 50 Megapixel Samsung JN1 telephoto cameras.
The Xiaomi 13 will have a 4,500 mAh battery with 67W wired charging support. The 13 Pro will have a 4,820 mAh battery that can be charged at 120W speeds. Both phones will come with the Surge G1 charge protection chip and will be available to users with 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging support.
The storage and RAM details of the devices are not exactly clear. However, if we consider the past leaks, it is possible to say that the standard model will come with 8 GB and Pro 8/12 GB RAM options. On the other hand, it is highly likely that 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB storage options will be available.
