When it comes to graphics cards, there are two companies that come to mind: AMD and NVIDIA. Both giant companies come up with at least one new graphics processor or graphics card towards the end of each year. Moreover, we may see much more exciting competition this year.

While AMD prepares to launch RDNA 3 graphics cards in 2022, NVIDIA is preparing to respond with the GeForce 4000 series. NVIDIA, on the other hand, updates its own architecture with Ada Lovelace, which we heard for the first time in 2020.

Launch preparations reveal cards

AFOX, a Taiwan-based graphics card manufacturer, has registered the names of the products it will introduce to the European Economic Collection (ECC) for the launch. The registered names gave information about the new cards. Although AFOX used predictable names, it may have allowed us to learn more about the names of the cards.

The names of the licensed AMD cards are as follows:

  • Radeon RX 7900 XT and Radeon RX 7900
  • Radeon RX 7800 XT and Radeon RX 7800
  • Radeon RX 7700 XT and Radeon RX 7700
  • Radeon RX 7600 XT and Radeon RX 7600
  • Radeon RX 7500 XT and Radeon RX 7500

The cards that will come in NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4000 series are as follows:

  • GeForce RTX 4090 Ti and GeForce RTX 4090
  • GeForce RTX 4080 Ti and GeForce RTX 4080
  • GeForce RTX 4070 Ti and GeForce RTX 4070
  • GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and GeForce RTX 4060
  • GeForce RTX 4050 Ti and GeForce RTX 4050

It’s highly unlikely that the two companies will launch more than 20 cards in total in a short period of a few months, especially considering they can’t run out of stock. On the other hand, AFOX is not the manufacturer of the cards and can use any name it wants. They are also not required to submit a prototype for name registration.

On the other hand, it has also been claimed that the RTX 4090 Ti graphics card will be an 800W TBP monster equipped with AD102 GPU and 48GB GDDR6X memory.
