Valve, which is considered one of the giants of the game world and established both legendary games such as Half-Life and Portal and the only platform used by all PC players today, Valve, had a great silence after the release of Steam Deck.

Today, the news that hit the Reddit forums like a bombshell revealed that Valve, known as the “legend of legends” by many players, has started working on a brand new game.

The name of the game will be “Neon Prime”

In the information detected by Reddit user itsairnd, it was stated that Valve applied to the US Patent Office for the name and license application. In the license statement, it was stated that “Neon Prime is a brand that covers the categories of computer games, electronic game software, video games, computer game programs that can be downloaded over the internet.” In this way, it has been confirmed that this brand is not a device or an accessory, but a game.

If you remember, Valve presented the VR game Half-Life Alyx to the players in early 2020. Valve, which was the target of criticism arrows because the game can only be played in VR, announced that it would take a break from making games for a while.

Many users have already started to produce theories about the game. Some claimed that the game could be a VR game set in a Cyberpunk-like universe, while others claimed that the game would be the first “true” open world game to be released by Valve. Valve employees declined to comment on the matter.

Of course, the fact that the name of the game is now licensed does not mean that the game is still a few years away. The game called Quarry, which Supermassive Games presented to the players in last June, actually applied for a name license at the beginning of 2022, just months before its release.
