HITMAN 3 is going for a name change!
IO Interactive announced the new name of HITMAN 3 with the blog post it shared today morning. Starting January 26, 2023, the series will be called HITMAN World of Assassination. It will also be available for free to HITMAN 3 owners on all platforms. In a statement, the company announced that the first two games of the trilogy will be added to the new version for free with the new name.
After this date, HITMAN World of Assassination will be the only option to play the series. IO Interactive used the following statements in its statement:
“We’re greatly simplifying the purchasing experience for new players. HITMAN World of Assassination will be the only option available to start playing. Basically, these changes will mean that all new players and existing HITMAN 3 owners will have the same content.”
This means that a total of 21 separate missions from the HITMAN trilogy will all be featured in the newly named version. However, you need to purchase the HITMAN World of Assassination Deluxe Pack in order to access the additional package contents in HITMAN 2 and 3.
