Meta’s Twitter rival app Threads is way behind the popularity of its debut days. Although it has reached more than 150 million users, the number of active users of the platform has decreased by half. However, the much anticipated “Following” tab may open a new door for Threads.

Threads got the Following tab

Threads has finally launched a long-awaited design change. You will now be able to view a private tab only for accounts you follow. Similar to Twitter, you’ll be able to create a feed for either suggested accounts or followed.

The Following tab will allow users to view only posts from accounts they follow on Threads. This means that algorithmically suggested content that has been controversial for a long time will be removed from the stream.

As you know, Threads had only one home page until now. On this page, the content across the platform was brought together according to the user’s interests. For example, such posts were presented to people who liked a lot of content about cars.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg confirmed that the Following tab was added in response to user requests. Regarding the requests for the feature, he used the phrase “You ask, we do it”.

You can tap the Threads logo or home icon at the top of the screen to access the Following stream. However, it should be noted that when the application is reopened, it will default to the “For You” algorithmic flow.
