StatCounter’s latest operating system monthly data has been released. The March 2023 report shows that Windows 11 is growing continuously and unstoppably. Microsoft’s latest operating system is now in one in five Windows PCs, accounting for almost 21%.

Windows 11 gained 1.81 points in March 2023, increasing from 19.13% to 20.94%. Although it is not as severe as in February 2023, when Microsoft terminated Windows 7 and 8.1, there is also a remarkable rise in Windows 10. The current leader of the Windows ecosystem reached 73.48%, up 0.17 points from the previous month.

As expected, users started leaving Windows 7 and 8.1 much more quickly after Microsoft announced the end of the Extended Security Updates program (ESU). Windows 7 continued its decline, losing 1.62 points to 3.72%. Windows 8.1, on the other hand, currently holds a small percentage of 0.84%, down 0.3 percentage points from February 2023.
