A YouTube channel called TechDroider put Samsung’s new flagships with foldable screens, which were introduced recently, and other most powerful flagship phones on the market to the test. The aim of this test was to see the 2022 flagship phones that can be used for the longest time on a single charge. The test revealed a very interesting result. So much so that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 could be used much longer than the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which had a much larger battery. However, this statistic was not even comparable to the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
South Korean technology giant Samsung introduced its foldable screen smartphones called Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 as part of the Galaxy Unpacked event it held recently. The company’s new phones are the most powerful foldable phones Samsung has ever produced. However, when we look at the battery test, we see that the usability time of foldable screen phones is still not at a sufficient level.
Galaxy Z Fold4 allows more than 9 hours of gaming on a single charge
Tests revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold4 is Samsung’s longest-running phone. The battery of this smartphone with a capacity of 4,400 mAh allowed uninterrupted gaming for a full 9 hours and 18 minutes. The usage time on the Galaxy Z Flip4 with a 3,700 mAh capacity battery was recorded as 9 hours and 4 minutes. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, on the other hand, could be used for 8 hours and 56 minutes despite its 5,000 mAh battery.
iPhone 13 Pro Max has crushed all its competitors!
The battery test revealed that the best model in terms of charge consumption is the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Because this smartphone, with its 4,352 mAh capacity, was able to last for 10 hours and 35 minutes. Thus, the winner of the iOS-Android and Samsung-Apple debates was once again the Apple defenders.
The test results are as follows:
- iPhone 13 Pro Max: 10 hours 35 minutes
- Xiaomi 12 Pro: 9 hours 38 minutes
- OnePlus 10 Pro: 9 hours 19 minutes
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4: 9 hours 18 minutes
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4: 9 hours 4 minutes
- Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: 8 hours 56 minutes
How did the Galaxy S22 Ultra with a larger battery lag behind phones with foldable screens?
The reason why the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra lagged behind the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 despite having a large battery was the processor. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor used in the foldable screen models tested is better than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 used in the Galaxy S22 Ultra in terms of efficiency.
