Late last year, everyone’s favorite search engine, Google (and all its other services like Google Maps), tumbled from the top spot, losing the title of the World’s most popular website domain.
According to Cloudflare Radar’s popularity ranking, the tech giant had lost its first position to a newcomer app. TikTok.com, which maintains its legality despite all the efforts of lawmakers in the USA, surpassed all its other competitors and settled on the top. At the end of last year, the ranking was as follows:

Popular video-sharing app TikTok first took the top spot for just one day in February 2021. It peaked for a few more days in March before becoming the most popular website for most days of August.
TikTok’s dominance over Google and Facebook didn’t last long, according to Cloudfare’s review of 2022’s most popular websites. While Google took back the lead, Facebook took the second place.

In terms of traffic received by social media sites, 2022 does not seem to have given TikTok the leadership it expected. Facebook is at the top of the list, while TikTok follows it in second place.
