iOS 16 is almost at the end of its useful life. Apple is expected to introduce iOS 17 this summer. However, even though iOS 16 is in use so far, users keep complaining that there are still a lot of bugs in the latest version of the iPhone operating system. It can even be said that users are fed up with it.
As YouTuber Luke Miani puts it: “iOS is getting worse. After that big iOS 12 update, where Apple improved the performance of existing devices and focused on fixing bugs, the company started adding sketchy features without addressing existing bugs.”
It took almost 6 months for Apple to fix an issue with the notification system on macOS Ventura that worked fine on macOS Monterey. On the other hand, with iOS 16, Apple allows the accumulation of new ones while leaving the old errors intact. So what’s the point of owning an iPhone 14 Pro Max if the software is full of bugs?
Just search Twitter for “iOS 16 bugs” to find out about the weirdest iPhone issues. Among them, the most common problems are as follows:
The most common iOS 16 issues
- Sometimes the iPhone 14 Pro screen goes completely black and you cannot unlock the device. You can hear the phone vibrate but cannot use it;
- Photos tab in iMessage is unresponsive;
- Users cannot accept a FaceTime call or use their iPhone if the call was made while the iPhone is locked.
- iPhone owners also complain about Dynamic Island showing up where it shouldn’t be, and various Lock Screen-related bugs: broken photos, unresponsive widgets, and the music player being too small or too large.
Although it looks like iOS 17 won’t have huge new features, perhaps Apple can take some time to address existing issues before releasing more features so that users can have a better experience with their iPhone.
