The number one interlocutor of the subject, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, made statements on the subject today. Speaking to Anadolu Agency, Minister Tekin made remarkable evaluations.

Minister Tekin said that neither students nor teachers can enter the classrooms by phone. According to Yusuf Tekin, the reason why teachers will not enter the classrooms with their phones is not to set a bad example.

Insist on staying in class

One of the issues that have been talked about for a while about education is that class repetition and attendance obligation will come back this year. Minister Tekin stated that they are insistent on this issue. Minister Tekin’s statement about grade repetition and attendance was as follows:

We insist on school attendance and grade retention. We think that this is one of the problems that hinder the education process. Our regulation is in the publication process.

No compulsory registration fee in private schools!

One of Minister Tekin’s statements concerning parents was about registration fees. According to the current laws, there is no obligation to donate or registration fee in private schools. Saying that the citizens should pay attention to this, Tekin said that they will act against possible coercion. Yusuf Tekin stated that another issue they discussed with private schools was the service and meal fees, and said that they received a guarantee that there would be no increases that would disturb the public.
