The decline in electric automobile sales led to controversy that the EU should strengthen its steps in global competition. According to ACEA’s report, unlike China and the United States, the EU does not have a strong industrial strategy to support electric vehicle production.
Despite incentives in Europe, the deficiencies in the charging infrastructure and the decline in consumers’ interest in electric vehicles were effective in not reaching the desired level. China maintains its strong position in global electric vehicle production and sales. The country’s superiority in the electric vehicle supply chain makes it difficult to increase Europe’s power in the electric car sector.
