EA is preparing to release the first Lord of the Rings game after The Lord of the Rings: Conquest, which was announced in 2009. The new title Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth will be available free-to-play for Android and iOS.
Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth releases on May 10
The new turn-based action game will be available in the mobile world on May 10. Heroes of Middle-earth will be part of a series of five LOTR games developed by Embracer, which acquired the rights to LoTR last year. One of the other highly anticipated games in this series is The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, which will be released shortly after Heroes of Middle-earth.
The trailer for Heroes of Middle-earth revealed the style of the game. The new production will feature characters from both The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. These will include travelers, warriors, wizards and classic LOTR characters.
According to EA, the game is designed for a diverse and inclusive Middle-earth. Heroes of Middle-earth will have story and PVP based modes. Let us remind you that the game, which is presented with a turn-based combat mechanism, will be free for Android and iOS.
It has been reported that pre-registration for Heroes of Middle-earth has started and can be played from May 10. On the other hand, Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be released for console and PC on May 25. We know that Embracer is working on three more games to be released in the next two years.
