TimeSplitters, one of the most famous series of Sony PlayStation brand in the past and one of the rarest works of FPS genre, came to life again in the hands of fans. The game, which is stated to have developed a sequel in the past months, has been redesigned by veteran fans of the series using Unreal Engine 4.
TimeSplitters returned with UE4
TimeSplitters, first developed by Free Radical Design in 2000 and distributed by Eidos, was released in the distribution of Electronic Arts in the following years.
The long-awaited and announced in 2007, Time Splitters 4, was canceled after the producer had budget problems after a while. The TimeSplitters series, which provided players with hours of fun with different weapons and mechanics in different periods by time travel, started to make a name for itself once again.
Stating that the new game of the series was under development last May, things are not going well for Free Radical Design. The producer of the game recently stated that there were disintegration in the production team and that they would hire new producers.
However, veteran fans of the series are remaking the first three games with Unreal Engine 4. With this project called TimeSplitters Rewind, the locations, models, weapons, animations in the first three games… You can see, almost everything is redesigned and overhauled. It is not clear when this project, which has been working on for about 2 years, will be published yet.
As you can see from the video, there is a difference like day and night between the original trilogy and the remastered version. When the remastered version of the game is released, both online and offline modes will be available to players without any limitations.
