The great success of HBO’s The Last of Us series apparently also raises the sales figures of the first The Last Of Us game. According to NPD Group’s report, The Last of Us: Part I Remaster jumped from #36 on the bestseller list in December to #11 in January, the month the series premiered.

As it will be remembered, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt saw an increase in popularity after the release of Netflix’s The Witcher series in 2019. Cyberpunk 2077 hit the Steam charts after Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was released in September. All this can be considered as proof of how a series affects a game.

The Last of Us: Part I Remaster, which has improved graphics and brings some features in Part II, was released for PS5 in September. The PC version will be available on March 28, right after the first season of the series has concluded.
