Japan has made an interesting invention that can change the way office workers rest during the day. The East Asian country has developed an innovative vertical capsule that allows people to fall asleep “standing”. The device, called Giraffenap, is planned to be used in workplaces.
Inside the phone booth-sized capsule, there are special platforms that support body weight and create ideal conditions for relaxation by blocking outside sounds. However, people with claustrophobia due to their size may want to stay away from Giraffenap.
Suitable for body ergonomics and takes up little space
Since falling asleep at a desk is socially accepted in Japan, it is stated that this vertical capsule can be easily adopted in the country. It may even become popular with office workers. Other advantages are that it is suitable for body ergonomics and takes up less space.
Giraffnap is a product designed for people whose height does not exceed 195 centimeters and does not exceed 100 kilograms. The device is considered a tremendous find for office workers who want to take a short nap between work. It is not yet clear how much it will cost companies to install this capsule in their offices.
