Qualcomm, one of the leading companies in the mobile chip industry, has been producing the most powerful processors after Apple for years, especially when the upper segment is considered. The manufacturer, which is also successful in the middle and entry segment, manages to surpass its rivals MediaTek, Exynos and Kirin in the upper segment every year. The Qualcomm-produced Snapdragon 898 processor, which will be introduced this year and will power the new flagships, offers great promises on the performance side as always.
Qualcomm, which recently created a page on its website, presented the first information about the event to the public. Adding the event date to this page, the chip manufacturer seems to have revealed the release date of the new Snapragon 898.
Snapdragon 898 could be introduced on November 30
The Snapdragon 898, which is expected to power many flagships that will be introduced in 2022, may become official on November 30, according to the page created by the company. The processor, whose technical details have been revealed in previous leaks, may appear at the “Tech Summit” (Technology Meeting) to be held by the company.
Snapdragon 898, which is expected to consist of Cortex–X2 + 3x Cortex–A710 running at 2.5 GHz, and Cortex–A510 running at 4x 1.79 GHz, will meet the end user with Xiaomi. The first phone to be powered by this chipset will be the Xiaomi 12.
Qualcomm, which is also ambitious on the graphics unit side, will benefit from the Adreno 730 in its new flagship. This shows that we can see 20% more performance phones than the previous generation. Finally, we can see the Qualcomm X65 5G modem, which can reach 10Gbps download speed on the chipset.
