Elon Musk has repeatedly said that Tesla will not produce a slow vehicle. Tesla, which has shown this with Model S, Model 3, Model X and Model Y, which has hit the road so far, now seems to continue to support this claim with Semi trucks.
Tesla Semi can accelerate to 100 km / h in 5 seconds
Tesla is now in the final stage of Semi, which is preparing to hit the road. The electric truck, which continues its road tests, has been viewed several times. According to the shared images, Tesla’s electric truck accelerates quite well, although it carries quite heavy loads.
In the images shared on Twitter, we see that the Tesla Semi approaches the intersection and stops, and then accelerates, regardless of its large size. Although we do not know whether the truck is loaded or not, this type of acceleration can be described as impressive in any condition. Tesla states that the Semi can accelerate to 100 km / h in about 5 seconds without load.
The US electric vehicle manufacturer states that Tesla Semis can reach the same speed with full load (about 37 tons) in 20 seconds. This figure may seem quite high when compared to our own cars, but it is worth remembering that a standard diesel truck needs 60 seconds to reach the same speed.
In other shared videos, we see that the Tesla Semi easily outstripped other trucks. Of course, speed may not be one of the most important features for a truck or truck, but such acceleration skills will add a great advantage to truck drivers in certain conditions.
Almost all of us have come across trucks blocking traffic in the left lane. Such acceleration can significantly reduce the number of such cases. In this way, traffic congestion can be avoided.
If Tesla’s plans go well, it will launch a few of its electric trucks this year. So what do you think about Tesla’s electric truck? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
