Smartphones are now an indispensable part of our lives. We may encounter various problems from time to time on our smartphones, which occupy a large place in both our business and social life. Heating problem is one of these issues. Overheating, especially on Android phones, bothers users a lot. The heating problems that have increased recently, however, do not seem to end anytime soon.

Why does the phone get hot? What to do when the phone gets hot

Why does the overheating problem in Android phones occur?

The biggest criticism of smartphone manufacturers lately has been ‘conscious slowing down’. Smartphone manufacturers have been accused of this issue many times. There may be many different reasons behind this problem.

Smartphone In their statement, the manufacturers admitted that they deliberately slowed down the phones to prevent them from overheating. As frustrating as this may seem, smartphone manufacturers may not be the only ones responsible.

According to recent reports, the problem stems from Arm, the firm that is at the center of Samsung and Qualcomm’s flagship processors. Qualcomm and Samsung are currently Arm’s two largest customers. The two giant companies use Arm’s designs in their Snapdragon and Exynos flagship processors.

Experts point out that there may be problems with Arm’s latest designs. Samsung’s chips and those made by TSMC for Qualcomm have the same issues. The Arm company has been put on the target board as the chips produced by different companies have the same question.

How was Apple not affected by this?

Interestingly, Apple’s chips also seem unaffected, despite being designed by Arm. Industry experts point to this as Apple and Arm’s ability to make processors more suitable for iOS use.

Apple and Arm only need to optimize the chips with A-series or M1. In contrast, Samsung and Qualcomm chips may not be optimally optimized as they have to make it work with various device manufacturers and Android versions.

Qualcomm and Samsung started working to solve this problem. We hope this issue gets resolved soon, otherwise the scope of overheating and ‘conscious slowdown’ may be expanded.
