During the NFT craze going on all over the world, we’ve seen artworks sold for thousands of dollars. In November of last year, a platform called Spice DAO, created by Dune-loving crypto money investors, bought the ‘gospel’ of Dune’s movie, which was previously planned but never reached the theaters, for millions of euros.
Prepared by Alejandro Jodorowsky and described as the ‘director’s bible’, this book was sold as NFT for 2.66 million euros. The Spice DAO group, which bought the book, was the subject of ridicule in the entire cryptocurrency community with a post it made the other day. The book that Spice DAO bought included all the plans for the movie, from Jodorowsky’s entire screenplay for Dune, to the storyboard, from the costumes to the materials for the scenes. In fact, the book itself was prepared to introduce the movie to Hollywood producers and to make this movie a reality.
