Samsung, one of the successful players in the smartphone market, continues to work on the Galaxy S25 series, which will be introduced at the beginning of next year. The South Korean manufacturer, which is frequently on the agenda especially regarding the processor that will power the series, may face serious problems if it does not take precautions at some points.
Snapdragon 8 Elite, which will power the Galaxy S25, is on the agenda with overheating problem
Although the new generation Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which Samsung is expected to use in the Galaxy S25 series, is quite powerful in terms of performance, it comes to the fore with overheating problems. Especially in the tests performed on Realme GT7 Pro, it was observed that the chipset overheated during GPU tests and the temperature of the phone reached up to 46 degrees.
According to reports shared by platforms such as Android Authority and Digital Trends, an overheating warning appears during 3DMark tests on smartphones powered by this processor and performance is restricted.
In fact, it was underlined that Realme GT7 Pro, one of the first smartphones to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, could not be used for anything other than making calls for a while due to overheating. Apart from this, it is said that even though the device was switched from balanced mode to power saving mode, it could not complete the GPU tests due to heat.
Of course, there is no such thing as the same situation happening in the Galaxy S25 series. As it is known, the South Korean manufacturer uses a modified version of Qualcomm processors in its flagships. However, industry sources warn that regardless of the situation, this processor to be used in upcoming smartphones must address the heating problems.
