The Ghost Time Hypothesis Claiming We Live in 1726

As humanity, we may experience divergences in many opinions, including historical developments. But have we ever had a disagreement about history itself? Although the answer may seem like “no”, it actually happened!

When we ask any passerby what date it is, he will say 2023. But that’s not how things work, according to historian Heribert Illig.

According to the “Ghost/Imaginary Time Hypothesis” he put forward, a considerable part of history never happened!

By assumption, we are now in the year 1726!

It was first outlined in 1991 by Heribert Illig and in 1995 by Dr. If we assume correct the Imaginary Time Hypothesis developed by Hans-Ulrich Niemitz, we are currently living in the year 1726. So actually the Gregorian calendar is not real and the Middle Ages didn’t exist.

It may sound silly, but the historian says that Heribert is perfectly sane and has evidence to support this assumption. He allegedly altered physical evidence, misrepresented, and forged documents. In short, the 297 years between AD 614 and 911 in the Early Middle Ages never happened!

Allegations say they are playing with documents to gain legitimacy.

According to this theory, the Roman emperor III. Otto, Pope II. Sylvester and the Byzantine emperor VII. Constantine united and played with the documents of that period and III. They helped Otto gain legitimacy.

Another possibility is the alleged calendar error. In 1582, Pope Gregory XIII introduced the Gregorian calendar. The Gregorian calendar was preceded by the Julian calendar introduced by Julius Caesar in 48 BC. To connect the calendar to the Solar year, an extra day was added to the Julian leap year, which occurs every four years.

Other historians did not support this assumption.

However, there was a problem. Since the solar year is 365,24219 days, the Julian calendar gained one day every 128 years. For this, Pope Gregory accidentally shifted the date by 10 days, while he should have shifted the date by 13 days.

Thus, a possibility emerged: it was invented without existing 297 years in between. However, this hypothesis did not win the support of other historians and remained just an amusing ‘conjecture’. What do you think, is it possible for such a thing to happen?
