The richest person in the world, Elon Musk, is the CEO, Tesla continues to develop its production right after a very successful 2021. Although the company was shown as the world’s largest electric car company during this time, its name has been the subject of accusations and negative news many times. Finally, an accusation came from the German water company.

WSE: “Tesla will consume Berlin’s water resources alone”

Wasserverband Strausberg-Erkner (WSE), the water company of the German state of Brandenburg, made some statements about the region’s water reserves. The company accused Tesla company in its statement. He stated that the Tesla factory, which will be opened in Berlin, will consume water resources. The factory, which will be named Berlin Gigafactory, aims to start Model Y production soon

The countdown has begun for Tesla’s production line in Berlin. Berlin Gigafactory received all approvals for production. Wasserverband Strausberg-Erkner (WSE) is nervous for the factory, which will start production with an event to be held on March 22, because according to the calculations, the current reserves are only enough for Tesla.

However, if the situation continues like this, the production at Tesla’s Berlin leg may not be realized for a while. Since WSE received the news that the Tesla factory will be established, it has started to search for new sources. The water company said it is impossible to plan further commercial and industrial development at the current state until new reserves are found.

Axel Bronstert, professor of hydrology at the University of Potsdam, reported that the Berlin Gigafactory will almost double the water consumption in the region. Although it seems difficult for production to start at the moment, Tesla’s current contract with the local government was made with these problems in mind. The fate of the issue remains a mystery for now.
