Citroën’s entertainment-oriented electric car, Ami, appeared with its new concept version. The vehicle, which draws attention with its doorless body and many special accessories, encourages mobility to users with its functional and environmentally friendly structure.
My Ami Buggy Designer Samuel Pericles had this to say about the new concept vehicle:
“My Ami Buggy is a concept fit for the non-car Ami project. We made it a cool product that makes everyday life easier. We blended fun with functionality, ergonomics and aesthetics very well. For example, we were inspired by the designers who brought to life many immortal designs for the smartphone holder. My Ami Buggy Concept needed to be functional and simple in the spirit of iconic and contemporary industrial objects, and we succeeded. ”
Lots of customization options in one
Coming in black, khaki and yellow color options, My Ami Buggy Concept makes use of many details to take personalization one step further. The iconic double stripe design of the brand; It stands out at different points in its interior and exterior design, including wheel covers, front panels, side protection panels, bumpers, behind the side mirrors and storage areas.
Pilot on the driver’s side and Copilot on the passenger side. Inspired by motor sports, the numbers 01 in the driver’s seat and 02 in the passenger seat greet us. Below the spoiler is a yellow arrow sticker referring to aviation. Similar decorations are also preferred on wheel arches. The ‘+’ symbol draws attention on the side mirror on the driver’s side. This detail refers to the electric motor and battery and the parking spaces reserved for electric vehicles.
Citroën My Ami Buggy Concept features
The interior of the vehicle is divided into three sections. These; The seats are known as the storage area and the luggage area. My Ami Buggy Concept hosts Advenced Comfort seat cushions with 70 mm filling foam on the seat cushions. The cushions can be removed from the seat in a practical way and can be easily changed and washed. Inspired by the buoy design, the cushions consist of overlapping two seashells that nod to beach accessories. Storage areas, on the other hand, are practical and portable, and each of them has its own functionality.
My Ami Buggy Concept, which redesigns the storage boxes on its front console, prevents objects from moving with the matte gold metal storage shelf on the boxes. The vehicle has a special trunk that is compatible with the interior. The waist bag is fixed to the magnet in the middle of the steering wheel. It can also be easily attached to the belt with its loop. Under the dashboard is a clamshell sailor bag. Storage space at seat height is integrated into the doors.
My Ami Buggy Concept, which includes functional accessories, stores the cup or bottle holder on the dashboard or where the My Ami bag holder is. The smartphone clamp is available as a cylindrical holder with a clamping wheel to secure the phone. A new tapered brace has been designed to fix the portable loudspeaker in the round slot behind the steering wheel. With 3D printing, each of these accessories has been designed from scratch and can be reproduced on demand with the same method.
