READING NOW The fourth beta version for iOS 16.5 and iPadOS 16.5 has been released!

As it is known, Apple will introduce the iOS 17 version with the WWDC 2023 event. While the company is preparing the new version of iOS, it continues to work on iOS 16. Finally, the company, which released an interim update such as iOS 16.4.1, has now revealed the fourth beta version for iOS 16.5 and iPadOS 16.5.

What will Apple offer with iOS 16.5?

Developers can access the latest betas by signing up for the beta testing program or updating their hardware through the Apple Developer Center. Public beta releases are usually released shortly after developer releases through the Apple Beta Software Program.

The new iOS and iPadOS 16.5 betas with code number 20F5059a follow Apple’s third update released on April 25 with the number 20F5050f. As we can see from beta versions, Sports tab will be added in the News app in iOS 16.5 and Siri will now be able to record screens with commands.

In addition, with the new update, the savings account feature is expected to be active for Apple Card users. The company had updated the terms and conditions of Apple Card for the savings account feature in the past months.

Developers registered to the beta program will be able to test the new beta version with the “Beta Updates” option from the “Software Update” section they enter through the Settings application. Note that an Apple ID with developer permissions is required to download and install the beta version.

With the release of new beta versions, Apple once again repeated the warning it always gives to its users. Reminding that beta versions may cause data loss, albeit a small possibility, the company strongly recommends that its users do not install beta software on their primary devices. Apple also recommends that beta testers back up their critical data.

The introduction of iOS 17 is getting around day by day, and iOS 16.5 is expected to be generally available soon. So what do you think about iOS 16.5 and iPadOS 16.5 beta versions? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
