Wikipedia’s founder Jimmy Wales warned Elon Musk, who bought Twitter for $44 billion, that the internet encyclopedia is not for sale. This is how Wales responded to the famous billionaire’s criticism of Wikipedia, Business Insider reported.

When a journalist from Wales tagged Elon Musk, “How much does Wikipedia cost?” In response to the post he wrote, he briefly replied, “The Encyclopedia is not for sale.”

A few days ago, Twitter’s new boss, Musk, had criticized Wikipedia for biasingly editing articles about the scandal involving the US president’s son, Hunter Biden.

Wales: Musk misdiagnoses about Twitter

Addressing Wales on his personal social media account, Elon Musk asked Wikipedia editors to comment personally on why they wanted to remove an article containing incriminating information about Biden’s laptop. However, he did not receive a response to this request.

In November, Wales said Musk had misdiagnosed problems with the social networking site Twitter. “Twitter has a real problem with trolling and insults, not a lack of freedom of speech,” said the founder of Wikipedia.

Musk previously allowed Twitter’s 2020 internal documents to be published. At the time in question, the social network could delete any post “at the request of a political party”. An example of this is the blocking of retweeting articles about Biden’s son Hunter on the eve of the US presidential election.
