Fortune, one of the world’s most prestigious business magazines, regularly publishes the World’s Most Powerful Women list every year. Finally, the magazine, which published the list for 2021, included only one woman from Turkey in its list.
This name that managed to enter the list was Hanzade Doğan, the founder and Chairman of the Board of Hepsiburada, which was founded in 2000 and became one of the largest e-commerce sites in Turkey.

Hanzade Doğan, who is known as one of the leading names in the online and digital business world in Turkey, had previously led the boards of many well-established companies and was described as one of the “Most Successful Women Technology Entrepreneurs in the World” in 2019 after her success in Hepsiburada.
While using the expressions “He played an important role in empowering women in Turkey” for Doğan, who leads many social responsibility projects such as “Daddy, Send Me To School” by Fortune magazine, Hepsiburada underlined that 49% of its employees are women.
