Playstation, one of the biggest brands in Sony’s game world, continues to meet the expectations of players by offering great innovations in every new generation. The latest model of the series was released in 2020, and then the PS5 Pro was introduced in 2024. However, players already want to learn about the next generation, PlayStation 6 (PS6). One of the most important statements on the subject came from Sonyi’s former ruler Shuhei Yoshida.

When will PS6 be released?

Former PlayStation President Shuhei Yoshida claimed that in an interview he attended, the PS6 could be released in 2027 or 2028. Yoshida stated that the new generation of PlayStation was likely to be available during these years, while Microsoft’s new Xbox console may be available in a similar period.

So far, Sony and Microsoft have no official statement on the issue. Therefore, the two companies are likely to change their release dates depending on the competitive environment and technological developments. However, when we look at the past generations, it is thought that the dates of Yoshida may be correct, since the PlayStation consoles are usually introduced at 6 to 7 years apart.
