The electric bus Karsan e-ATA, which was introduced last September, was an important card for our country’s industry as it will carry passengers with a fully electric motor. Romania was the first country to deliver the bus, which can travel up to 450 kilometers on a single charge. In the first delivery of Karsan e-ATA, 56 units will be sent to Romania.

Karsan e-ATA will serve in Romania

In the past weeks, an agreement was signed for 56 vehicles to serve in the Romanian city of Slatina. According to the news of Otoajanda, the first 10 of the vehicles were delivered within the scope of this agreement. This is not the only public transportation vehicle that Karsan has exported to Europe, and with this delivery, the number of its fleet in Europe has increased to 250. Karsan plans to deliver its electric vehicles to two more cities in Romania in 2022.

Speaking about the delivery to Slatina, Karsan CEO used the following statements in his statement:

We have become an important part of the transformation in public transportation with our Karsan electrical products, which we offer from 6 m to 18 m in many European countries. We offer flexible and environmentally friendly solutions to the increasing need for large-sized electric public transportation in crowded cities. We made our first e-ATA export to Romania, where we strengthened our presence with its vehicle fleet and after-sales structure. Today, we aim to further enlarge our fleet of more than 250 Karsan electric vehicles, which are circulating all over the world, with our new models that we will deliver to many cities in Europe next year. We are proud of growing in Europe and contributing to our country’s exports with our 10-meter e-ATA product, which we delivered to the city of Slatina, Romania for the first time.

e-ATA offers flexible battery options that can be selected from 150kWh to 600kWh. With this selection, which can be made according to the needs of the cities, purchases can be made according to the road conditions and budget. The 12-meter variant of the bus can offer a range of up to 450 kilometers in real road conditions. There are also good values for the charging time, depending on the battery pack, the charging time varies between 1 hour and 4 hours.

The bus does not have an extremely different design or any such claim. A classic design that preserves the familiar lines was preferred. What do you think about Karsan e-ATA?
