While artificial intelligence studies continue at full speed, the concerns that robots will replace humans continue. However, the number of people who say that the future will be in robot-human mixtures is not less. The robot-human mixes described as cyborgs don’t seem too far off with the advancement of technology.

For the first time in 1998, a chip was used on a human. Many years have passed since then, but not much has been done. However, this has been changing in recent years. With Patrick Paumen, who wore a chip under his hand in 2019, it seems that the use of chips will become widespread in people.

It offers many features with chips placed in the body!

Patrick Paumen, 37, does not need a debit card or smartphone to pay. Paumen just has to reach out her left hand to the contactless card reader to complete her payment. The rest is just the glow of a small LED light under his skin and the bewildered looks of those around him.

Thanks to a chip slightly larger than a grain of rice under its skin, Paumen can easily make its payment. Walletmor company launched this technology last year. Thus, we started to approach robots in the digitalized world.

Walletmor’s chip, which weighs less than a gram, consists of a small microchip and an antenna. The chip, which is said to be completely safe, has also received legal approval. It is stated that the chip, which starts working immediately after being placed, will continue to work without the need for any power supply. The company has now sold more than 500 chips.

It is predicted that the usage areas of the chip will expand in the future. Although this idea is frightening for many of us, Paumen has a total of 32 chips in his body that are magnets to open doors. As a result of a survey conducted in Europe, it is revealed that people are still undecided on this issue.

Would you like to use such chips in your body? You can share your views with us in the comments section or on the SDN Forum.
