It is claimed that Sony has been working on new PlayStation 5 versions for a while. A new one has been added to the leaks about PlayStation 5 Pro and Slim. An image shared on Twitter was claimed to belong to PlayStation 5 Slim. So what’s the difference with the PS5?
PlayStation 5 Slim could be lighter
According to a new leak, Sony is working on a thinner and lighter version of the PlayStation 5. An image posted on the gaming forums provides a first look at what the PlayStation 5 Slim will look like. The leaked image shows a console very similar to the PS5, but with a few key changes.
First, it looks like there are black air vents on both sides of the console case. While its overall dimensions appear to be similar to the PS5, previous claims have revealed that the PS5 Slim will be smaller.
The first rumors about the slim version appeared in Microsoft’s case file. The company claimed that Sony is working on a “lower performance” console and will introduce it in 2023. Even the case files revealed that a price tag of $399 was set for the PS5 Slim. That price is pretty competitive compared to the $499 price of the standard PS5.
Sony has not yet made an official statement about the PS5 Slim. However, the leaked image revealed that the company may be working on a smaller and sleeker version of the next-gen console. The launch at the end of the year may create a new sales wave for PS5.
Sony also shared its financial report for the first quarter of its fiscal year the other day. This report revealed both positive and results. Sony said its Gaming and Networking services grew 27 percent year-on-year.
