Elon Musk announced that Twitter will soon offer a different browsing experience. The social media platform will allow users to scroll through suggested and followed tweets, trends and topics. It was announced that the new navigation feature will arrive in January.

Twitter currently already allows users to switch between the home timeline, which shows suggested tweets in chronological order, by tapping the star icon in the top-right corner of the screen, showing the most recent tweets in order. However, the new upcoming feature will add extra views and make it easier to access tweets, agenda and topics with a swipe gesture.

It’s still unclear when the new swipe-based navigation will be available for all users. For Twitter Blue subscribers, priority ranking in conversations, square profile pictures for brands, number of views of tweets are among the recently added Twitter features.
