According to the information transferred, the new generation processor will be based on the 3 nanometer fabrication process. Thus, it will be able to offer up to 15% higher performance compared to the 5 nm process. It is also stated that power consumption will be reduced by 30%.
When will the first models with M3 processors arrive?
The first M3-based Apple devices are expected to be released in late 2023 or early 2024. These will likely be the new iMac, along with the 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air. Other models are also mentioned for the M3 upgrade.
