M2 The Geekbench 5 score of the M2 processor shows new details about the processor. The M2 processor runs at 3.49GHz instead of 3.2GHz as in the M1 processors. M2, which scored 1919 points with an increase of 11.56% in single-core performance, managed to score 8928 points with an increase of 19.45% in multi-core performance. Thus, Apple’s M2 processor comes pretty close to the Core i9-12900K in single-core performance. The M2 processor

scores 30627 points in the Metal benchmark test, making a difference to the M1’s 21001 score. Thus, it is clear that the M2 with a 10-core graphics unit has received a serious update against the M1 with a maximum 8-core graphics unit. The M2 processor seen on Geekbench is thought to belong to the MacBook Pro model with an active cooling system, so the MacBook Air with the M2 processor may perform slightly differently.
