According to the Counterpoint Research report, Samsung, which is the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer with a market share of 20 percent, is working hard to maintain its success in the tablet market. Taking action especially after the launch of iPad Pro models with M1 chip, the company will showcase the Galaxy Tab S8 series in the coming days. In fact, the technical features of the Ultra model of the series have already been announced.
Galaxy Tab S8 technical specifications
As the countdown begins for the launch of the Galaxy Tab S8 series, the technical specifications of the Ultra model, which is expected to rival the iPad Pro, have leaked. Accordingly, the tablet will come with a 14.6-inch WQXGA+ resolution 6.3 mm thin-frame panel. It will also have a notch design in direct proportion to the previous reports.
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will be powered by the recently introduced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, one of the most powerful mobile processors. The chipset has 1 x 3 GHz Cortex X2 and 3 x 2.5 GHz Cortex A710 cores as high performance cores. The Cortex A510, which is known as the efficiency core and has low power consumption, runs at 1.8 GHz.
The device is expected to be presented to users with three different memory configurations. It is thought that these will be 8 GB RAM + 128 GB, 12 GB RAM + 256 GB and 16 GB RAM + 512 GB. On the other hand, it will be available in two different versions, LTE and 5G.
On the front, there is a 12 Megapixel main camera and a 12 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera positioned in the notch, while on the back there will be a dual camera setup with a 13 Megapixel main camera and a 6 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.
Let’s point out that the tablet is only 5.5 mm thick and will still be powered by an 11, 200 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. At the same time, a magnetic strip is positioned on the back panel for attaching the S Pen.
Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, which is expected to run Android 12-based One UI 4.1 interface out of the box, will be introduced at an event to be held in the coming days with other models of the series.
