The popular messaging platform WhatsApp, operating under Meta, continues to bring new features to the application to further improve the user experience. The platform brought us a number of useful features such as annotating messages sent in the past days, and giving a single response to surveys.
Now, the future of a new feature that concerns groups has emerged. This innovation, noticed by WABetaInfo in the beta version of the application for Android, will help prevent inappropriate messages in groups.
You will be able to report messages in groups to the admin
The feature that the platform is currently testing will allow group admins to report messages in groups. In this way, administrators will be able to manage groups much better and more securely.
When the feature, which has a function like whistleblowing, is enabled, group members will be able to report messages they deem inappropriate to the admins. After that, administrators will review the message and decide if it is inappropriate. If there is a violation, he will be able to delete that message with the “delete for everyone” option. The feature can be activated from the group settings section.
The feature, which seems to be very useful in preventing the sharing of inappropriate content in groups, is currently under development. There is no information on when it will be made available to the general public.
