Everyone knows that Samsung introduced a feature called App Pair in 2017. Scanning the list of changes, Android expert Mishaal Rahman says Google has developed a way to allow users to save app pairs. Although Android allowed users to use app pairs and keep them in the multitasking menu, they could not be saved and reused after closing. Now Android 14 will allow users to create app pairs and save them to the home screen. Thus, every time a user clicks on the saved app pair icon, these two apps will be opened in split-screen multitasking mode.
It’s been 6 years since Samsung started offering app pairs that can be saved and placed on the sidebar or home screen. Google, on the other hand, is only just beginning to realize the potential of this feature. It will come in handy especially for those who often multitask using two apps at the same time. This feature seems to be useful for devices with large screens such as foldable phones and tablets.
