Steve Jobs passed away more than 10 years ago. But that doesn’t seem to have stopped Podcaster Joe Rogan.
Podcaster Joe Rogan hosted Steve Jobs in his latest broadcast, and of course he did it through artificial intelligence. The interview, which was hosted by Podcast.ai, had some really interesting conversations, and the developer team behind Podcast.ai sums up their thoughts on the interview: “We wanted to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the current state-of-the-art speech synthesis, with content that can inspire others to do the same. “There’s no one who inspires and influences the tech world more than Steve Jobs, so we brought his voice back to life in the first episode.”
To carry out this conversation, the team created transcripts using language models trained on Jobs’ biography and recordings found online, while Joe Rogan listened to multiple audio recordings to study his side of the model. This transcript was then converted into surprisingly persuasive sounds using Play.ht, a text-to-speech converter, resulting in the result you can see just below.
Podcast.ai plans to make more episodes using AI-generated text and audio, and invites listeners to recommend interviewers/interviewers for future episodes. If you have suggestions, you can make suggestions here.
