Chinese automobile manufacturer NIO is preparing to enter the smartphone market in the future. The founder and CEO of the company, William Li, confirmed these claims in an interview yesterday and said that they are doing an intense research on the smartphone market.
William Li used the following statements on the subject;
We will actively explore this trend. We realize that making a smartphone is easy, but making a beautiful phone is quite difficult. Making phones for NIO is not a commercial question, but rather whether NIO phones will bring a better user experience to customers.
From the CEO’s statement, we can say that NIO aims to provide a single holistic system for consumers’ daily lives rather than making a classic smartphone.
