Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk continues to be the biggest shareholder of Twitter. Finally, the businessman, who was also elected to the company’s board of directors, apparently started to worry some employees. Here are the details…
Elon Musk worried Twitter employees with his views
It is an undeniable fact that Elon Musk prefers Twitter the most among social media platforms. Because the businessman, who has reinforced this even more recently and bought 9.2 percent of the company, made another move and entered Twitter’s board of directors until 2024.
After Elon Musk became the largest shareholder of the social media platform, the company’s employees began to worry at some points. Speaking to Reuters a while ago, four Twitter employees expressed their concern that Musk’s views could negatively impact the platform’s policy of abusive users and harmful content.
There is a concern that the long-standing efforts to make the platform a healthier place may weaken and incidents such as trolling will increase with the addition of business people to the board of directors. On the contrary, some employees think that Musk will provide a new perspective to the platform since he is an active user.
As it will be remembered, after Musk, who defined himself as a freedom of expression advocate, was revealed to be a Twitter shareholder, for organizing people with the posts he made during the congress raid events that took place on January 6, 2021. There were calls for Donald Trump, who was blocked from Twitter, to be brought back to the platform. However, the businessman remained silent in the face of these calls from the political sector.
