Rumors that Samsung will return to the Exynos processor with the Galaxy S24 have been circulating for a while. But we can see the real surprise with the Galaxy S25.

There have been various reports and rumors about the alleged “dream” Exynos chip for the Galaxy S25. This chip is expected to be released in 2025 and is believed to offer much better performance than the company’s previous generation Exynos processors. Some information about Samsung’s new processor has also emerged.

According to Tech_Reve, Samsung and AMD are working together on a new GPU for the Exynos 2500. As part of their extended partnership, this processor will be based on AMD’s Radeon technology and will focus on improving optimization. Although not explicitly stated, it is suggested that the 2 companies will focus on optimization rather than raw performance.

Exactly how the Exynos 2500 will perform against rival GPUs in Apple’s and Qualcomm’s chips remains unclear. Everything on this subject is expected to become clear only when devices equipped with this processor reach customers after 2 years. Frankly, we are wondering how Samsung will perform against its competitors with this new Exynos.

Previous generation Exynos chipsets showed lower performance and lower power efficiency than their Snapdragon counterparts. Worse still, Samsung used these Exynos chips in its flagship phones in some regions, while offering better Snapdragon processor models to users in other regions. Therefore, the company faced a lot of criticism and that is why it decided to use only Snapdragon chipsets in the Galaxy S23.

Some rumors had claimed that Samsung’s smartphone division had assembled a team of around 1,000 engineers to work on a custom high-end processor for future Galaxy smartphones.
