AMD Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT release date shared
According to Uniko’s Hardware’s report, AMD is expected to organize a special launch event in late February for the new RDNA4 series graphics cards. This event may result in the launch of the introduced cards on March 6. Some previous leaks claimed that it would be a launch in January, but it seems that AMD has postponed this plan.
For now, an official event announcement has been made by AMD, but the information that emerges clarifies the launch process:
- Launch event: last week of February (estimated 27 February)
- Product Output: March 6
For the kidnappers, AMD announced the RDNA 4 series at CES 2025 and confirmed that it would be released in March and said that it was working on performance improvements. According to new leaks, the Navi 48 GPU, which forms the foundation of RDNA 4, will have a 390 mm² chip. This offers a slightly larger structure than Nvidia’s GB203 chip used in the RTX 5080. It will also offer RTX 5070 & 5070 Ti performance.
In the meantime, another reason for the delay is strongly caused by the price of the possible RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti models. Likewise, the RTX 50 series would be more expensive than expected. However, the rumors were not real. This may have forced AMD to break the price. Therefore, how AMD will respond at these price levels will play a critical role in the success of the series.
