Huawei has officially announced that the Huawei Watch GT 2 and Watch GT 2e will have third-party application support, with an announcement via its official website. Support for the Watch GT 2 Pro, which was introduced in February of last year, is coming for these two watches with the released beta updates.

Huawei has started rolling out new firmware updates for its Watch GT 2 and Watch GT2e smartwatches. With these updates, which are only available in open and closed beta in China for now, support for third-party applications came for both watches.

The update, which is only available to users in China for now, will soon be released in other countries. Although third-party application support sounds very exciting, it should be added that there are not many applications to try.
