Popular messaging application WhatsApp continues to test new features without slowing down. WhatsApp, which usually tests features that make users happy, may upset users this time with its new feature. Because with a new feature introduced in the Beta version, backups will now have a limited quota.

WhatsApp backups will now use your Google storage

Although WhatsApp users can currently back up their chat history to Google Drive at no additional cost, this may change in the coming months. Because, according to the new feature that appeared in the WhatsApp beta version, WhatsApp and Google plan to stop offering unlimited storage quota for WhatsApp backups.

With the latest WhatsApp for Android beta 2.23.26.7 update available on the Google Play Store, a new in-app warning appears on the backup screen, informing users that backups will start using Google storage in the coming period.

Users can continue to back up their chat history at no extra cost as long as they qualify for the 15GB of free cloud storage included with their Google account or any additional storage purchased through Google One.
