READING NOW The era of tweeting is over! What are you doing Elon Musk?

As everyone knows, Elon Musk has decided to make big changes about Twitter. Applying his changes without taking a step back, Musk was not limited to this after changing the logo of the popular application. It still continues to change some basic structures. So much so that everything shared on Twitter is now shared under the name of tweet. So the era of tweeting is officially over.

The tweet era is over, the post era has begun!

Twitter came to Android earlier this week with its new name “X”, and yesterday it officially changed the app name and icon for iOS as well. Now, with another update published, the tweet phrase has been removed. Instead, tweets under the old name will now be called posts. The app’s bundle name in the Play Store is still com.twitter.android and it’s unlikely to change after all, as this requires a new app.

The previous update this week added an “X” to various app duplicates, search bars, and menu. Now, X for Android has changed the “Tweet” to “Send” when you open the bottom right corner of the FAB. Therefore, the name of the shared content became “post”. This is indeed a sharp turnaround and another indication of how the brand has moved away from its iconic form.

You can also see this change on profile pages where the “Tweets” tab becomes “Posts”. However, it is worth mentioning again that this innovation has not been offered to Android users yet. As of this update, the dark blue “dim” dark mode is still present, but has been set to be completely black (or the mode known today as “lights off”).

With this update, the open theme has not been removed yet. However, Elon Musk said in a statement, “This platform will soon only have dark mode. Dark mode offers a better experience in everything.” made statements. This gave us strong signals that the open theme will be removed. It is not known when the reactionary decision will be implemented. We will understand this in the coming days.

So what do you think about changing the tweet phrase as a post? You can share your thoughts with us in the comments section.
