According to the news of WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has started testing a feature that will stop taking screenshots. Announced a few days ago, this feature is now open to users in the beta version of the platform.
According to the new feature, WhatsApp will bring a message feature that can be read only once. It will not be possible to take screenshots of these messages. This feature, which is currently applied for photos, also comes to messages. In addition, there is no such thing as not being able to take screenshots for photos.
There will be a warning text for messages sent with the “View once” option according to the shared screenshot. Before sending the message, the platform will warn you, “You are currently sending a one-time message”. In addition, this text includes statements that the other party cannot take a screenshot of this message.
In addition to all these, no third application or software will allow to take screenshots of these messages. The new feature, which is still in the testing phase, will allegedly be available to all users in the coming days.
