The era of overclocking beyond 6 GHz begins with one click on MSI motherboards

MSI’s MEG Z790 ACE MAX motherboard model is available and is a board full of premium features designed for 14th Generation Intel processors. However, this product will likely be MSI’s last high-end card to use the LGA-1700 platform before Intel switches to the new LGA-1851 socket with the arrival of Meteor Lake in 2024.

Speeds above 6 GHz will be reached with one click on MSI motherboards

Intel’s 14th Generation “Raptor Lake Refresh” processors will be released in October. 14th Generation Intel processors do not bring any architectural changes, but they promise higher speeds on both the memory and core side. Performance gains will also largely come from higher clock speeds.

However, MSI’s high-end Z790 ACE MAX card seems to offer users the ‘P-Core Beyond 6 GHz+’ option, which offers overclocking up to 6.3 GHz with a single click via BIOS. On the other hand, Core i9-14900K will be on top of the 14th Generation Intel processors. This processor can go up to 6.0 GHz thanks to Intel’s Thermal Velocity Boost technology. This duo may come to the fore for users looking for higher speed.

Of course, MEG Z790 ACE MAX will have a high price like the company’s other Z790 MAX series motherboards. In a leak earlier this month, price information for motherboards was leaked. It was revealed that the MEG Z790 ACE MAX model would have a high price of $ 699. According to MSI, the new ACE MAX family succeeds in extreme environments by pushing the limits in processor overclocking, DDR5 memory and graphics card performance.
